Hey guys! Karen here for Kanacura Digital Marketing and Virtual Staff.

Today I want to talk about virtual assistants. In this article, I want to tell you about five things that they can do to help you take a load off your business and help you focus on what you do best!

The goal of a VA (or virtual assistant) is to get you to the point where you are solely seeing your clients and patients without worrying about the daily tasks that can slow you down.

Virtual Management

The first thing that virtual assistants can help you with is virtual management. This has been huge for me because I, like perhaps some of you, get trapped in my email.

A lot of emails come through, occasionally I miss an email, or I forget to reply, and sometimes I just need some help.

Virtual assistants are amazing at that. Here at Kanacura, we can set up systems with the virtual assistant to make managing your email easier for you.

Client Followup

A lot of the doctors I work with are amazing when they see their clients, whether they come into their clinic in person or are being seen virtually.

After they see their clients, they don’t follow up for their next appointment, or they’re stuck with sending out lab tests or supplements. All the bits and pieces that go with serving your client after you’ve had your consultation with them can take away from the time you spend doing what you do best.

A virtual assistant can help you with each piece there. To go into detail, a virtual assistant can be in charge of patient follow-up, making sure that someone books in for their next appointment, and ensuring that someone gets their lab test or their supplements and much more.

All of those kinds of small details are extremely important, and a virtual assistant can help take them all off your plate, so you know your clients are being looked after.

Organic Social Media

Another thing a virtual assistant can help you with is organic social media.

This includes making sure you have organic social media posts going out each day across your channels.

Social media is a necessary tool for engaging with your community and it can even increase the exposure to your practice.

To start, you can hire a marketing company to set a social media strategy or perhaps you are one step ahead and already have a strategy within your practice. From there, a virtual assistant can take that strategy and run with it!

A lot of our virtual assistants are actually really great at creating beautiful looking social media posts that you can use for your business.

Customer Service

A virtual assistant can take care of answering your client’s questions, they can ensure that your clients have their supplements, and they can even make sure that any other inquiries that come through your email are managed in an easy and efficient way.

Admin Related Tasks

The last thing that a VA is amazing for is completing all of those other admin related tasks that take up so much of your time.

I have previously talked about a really cool thing that you can do, which is, track your time for a whole week and see where you are actually spending time. By doing that, you will be able to find out if you are spending time in your zone of genius.

You went to school for a long time, you’re amazing with your clients, that’s where we want to see you spending your time and energy. We want to see you working on your business, and working on strategy, not working on emails, admin tasks, spreadsheets, tracking clients and any other personal admin tasks that you can pass off to your virtual assistant.

To summarize, a virtual assistant can help you and your business manage all the extra time-consuming tasks so that you are left with more time to be able to focus on what you love and on scaling your business! I hope this has given you some ideas of what you might be able to outsource in your business.
